Dear Family and Friends,

With heavy hearts, we tell you of our mother's passing on Jan. 11, 2008. As many of you know she was diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer in September and was given a bleak prognosis. However, mother thrived and told everyone, "They sent me home to die, but I came home to live." And, oh, how she lived! She went on a cruise, with her two daughters, to the Panama Canal on Jan 2, and she had a ball. On the last day of the cruise she passed away in our cabin as we were passing the coast of Cuba.

Stomach cancer can cause great pain, but mom only suffered minor pain for 2 days. We celebrate her reunion with our dad and our heavenly father. We give thanks to God for her relatively pain-free death. We also thank you, as we know her two "almost normal" months were possible because of all of your prayers.

In lieu of flowers our mother expressed a desire that donations be made to THE LIVING WORD OUTDOOR DRAMA CHAPEL FUND

This summer, at a later date, we will have the burial of her ashes beside our father's ashes at THE LIVING WORD.
